mr. sullenger and I were talking recently and the formation of the AKS was discussed and i wondered .....in our history it notes that
"With 13 of Mr. Lieb's key instructors, representing 13 different schools and locations, the American Karate System was born. This took place at the first A.K.S. summer camp in Muskegon, Michigan in August of 1973."
Mr sullenger remember himself and Mr. John Folson of West Virginia....but....who were the other 11?
if anyone has any insight, please let me know

I was at the Summer Camp in 1973, I was a Brown Belt at the time. It was quite a gathering of martial artists from a number of states. These are who I remember attending. Mike Sullenger - Indiania John Folsom - Muskegon, Mi Tom Twining - Muskegon, Mi Virgil Vasquez - Muskegon, Mi Eugene Horan - Muskegon, Mi Gloria Castenada - Muskegon, Mi Ann Small - Toledo, Ohio Don Small - Toledo, Ohio Larry Malo - Detroit, Mi Paul Malo - Detroit, Mi Sam Chapman - Greenville, SC Bobby Tucker - Greenville, SC Jerry Rhome - Greenvile, SC
We were also visited by several Shorin Ryu students, Mr Jim Ninios and Mr. Jerry Jackson from Mishawaka , Indiania. I hope this answers your questions.
