It is amazing how small the Internet has made our world. I have communicated with people I have not seen since high school (class of '68)
Several weeks ago I received an e-mail from a former student who nows lives in California. He opened with the usual requests for updates on our karate class and life in Muskegon. He told me he was married, his wife is involved in motion pictures and he works in computers.
He ended his message with "I used my karate training last week, I walked away from a fight."
Thanks Matt, you made my day.

Hi folks, When I first told Mr. Lieb about my desire to get the AKS on the Internet by establishing a web page he was not impressed. Those of close to him knew he didn't have a computer, and didn't know how to type. After several rejections I pressed forward with getting the AKS connected. Well it wasn't long before Ernie fell in love with being able to communcate with people using this mode. Even though his abilities to type remained "hunt and peck" he never let it slow him down. He was also surprised when former students began to communicate with him. I felt then as I do today I made the right decision and the money was well spent. We in the AKS are all better off with our own website. It allows us to keep in touch with each other and with what is taking place within our organization and its members. MAS
