i was wondering about the other martial arts experience of our members, in particular the other black belts.
if everyone would like to, post your current aks rank and any other ranks or certifications, be specific about any other styles...for instance..if TKD, what kwan your style is rooted in.

Hi Jeff,
I do know of several AKS Black Belts that had rank in other styles, for instance Mr. Roger Wenzel of Mustang Oklahoma is an AKS 6th Dan but also holds a 5th Dan in Aikido. As for myself, I started with Mr. Lieb in 1971 when we were American Chi Do Kwan. I was also at the summer camp in 1973 when we became the American Karate System. I was a Brown Belt at the time and had the privilege of sparring Jerry Rhome as part of his Black Belt testing. For those that may not know him, Jerry trained under Sam Chapman and Bobby Tucker in Greenville, South Carolina. He later became World Heavyweight Full Contact Champion. Fortunately for me, at the time he didn't go full contact.
